Six things worth knowing
No mission-statement filler. This is genuinely how the lab operates.
Our Story
Inspired Printing started in 2021 with one printer in a rented room and a stubborn conviction: that the gap between having an idea and holding it should be measured in days, not months. The first customer was an engineering student who needed a bracket nobody would manufacture in a quantity of one. We printed it overnight. Five hundred projects later, that is still the job.
Our Mission
To make manufacturing accessible at any quantity, especially quantity one. Tooling costs and minimum order values push out exactly the people with the most interesting ideas: students, independent designers, small engineering teams, restorers. Additive manufacturing removes that barrier, and our job is to remove the remaining friction around it.
Our Vision
A Madurai where a working prototype is a same-week expectation rather than a logistical project. We want the local design, engineering and education community to treat physical iteration as normal, because that is when the quality of what gets built genuinely changes.
Our Technology
Enclosed CoreXY machines with a 400 by 400 by 450 mm envelope, hardened nozzles for abrasive composites and inline filament drying, alongside MSLA resin printers resolving down to 0.025 mm. Twenty-plus materials from PLA through carbon-fibre reinforced nylon. Every machine is calibrated against a known test part on a schedule, not when something goes wrong.
Our Approach
We read every model before we quote it. That is where the value is: catching a 0.3 mm wall that will not survive handling, spotting an orientation that would put a layer line straight through the load path, suggesting a material that costs less and performs better. A quote from us usually arrives with at least one question attached.
Our Values
Say what a part will actually do. Quote what the job actually costs. If printing is the wrong process, say so and point somewhere better. We have talked more than one client out of a print run and into an injection mould, and those are the clients who come back.
Preparing 3D view
Loading geometry and materials.
Machines you can inspect
Orbit the printer. Everything on it is real: the CoreXY gantry, the enclosed chamber, the hardened nozzle, the spool feeding in from the side. We would rather show you the equipment than describe it.
Precision
0.1 mm
Detailed and accurate prints, calibrated to a tenth of a millimetre and dimensionally checked before they leave the lab.
Speed
48 hrs
Fast prototyping and production. Most single-part prototypes leave within 48 hours of approval.
Quality
100% checked
Carefully inspected output. Every order passes a documented visual and dimensional check.
Flexibility
20+ materials
Multiple materials and technologies, so the process is chosen to suit the part rather than the other way round.
Support
Direct line
Human assistance from concept to final print. You talk to the people who actually run the machines.
Idea to production
The same six stages whether it is one prototype or a batch of two hundred. Only the loop count changes.
- 01
Idea
A sketch, a photograph, a problem described in a sentence.
- 02
Design
Geometry built or repaired, made printable and dimensioned.
- 03
Prototype
The first physical version, in your hands within days.
- 04
Print
Oriented, sliced and produced to a documented process sheet.
- 05
Refine
What the physical part reveals goes straight back into the model.
- 06
Production
Repeatable short runs, first-article checked at every batch.
Bring us something hard.
The projects we are proudest of started as a conversation about whether the thing was even possible.
