Policy.

We collect the minimum we need to quote your job, print it and get it to you. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell data, and we do not use your models for anything except producing your order.

If you only read one section, read Your files and designs below. For a 3D printing service that is the part that matters.

Inspired Printing operates this website and the 3D printing lab at Thinamani Nagar, Koodal Nagar, Madurai, Tamil Nadu 625018. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.

We only collect information you actively give us. There is no hidden collection anywhere on this site.

• Quote requests — your name, email address, phone number, optional company name, the project details you enter, and any files you upload.
• Contact messages — your name, email address, optional phone number and the message you write.
• Newsletter sign-up — your email address, and nothing else.
• Order tracking — the order reference you type in. Looking up an order does not require you to identify yourself further.
• Correspondence — if you call, message or email us, we keep that thread so the next person you speak to has the context.

This is worth stating explicitly, because most sites cannot.

• No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no heatmap tool and no session recorder on this site.
• No advertising or tracking cookies. We do not set any cookie for advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.
• No fonts loaded from third parties. The typefaces are compiled into the site at build time, so your browser never contacts a font provider and no request carrying your IP address leaves for one.
• No account required. You can request a quote and track an order without creating a login.

Your models are your intellectual property and we treat them that way.

• We use uploaded files solely to review, quote and produce your order.
• We do not share them with anyone outside the lab, and we do not use them to train anything, publish them, or reuse the geometry on other jobs.
• Nothing appears in our portfolio without your written permission. Several projects we are proud of are absent from this site for exactly that reason.
• We will sign your NDA before you send anything. Just ask.
• You can ask us to delete your files at any time once an order is complete, and we will confirm when it is done.

• To review your model and prepare a quote.
• To ask you the questions a quote usually raises, and to agree the specification.
• To produce, inspect, pack and deliver your order.
• To take payment and issue an invoice.
• To answer you when you get in touch, and to keep a record of what was agreed.
• To send lab notes, if — and only if — you subscribed. Every one of those emails carries an unsubscribe link.

We do not use your information to build an advertising profile, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Two values, both functional, neither used to identify or track you. They stay in your browser and are never transmitted to us.

• ip-theme — remembers whether you chose the dark or light appearance, so the site does not flip back on your next visit.
• ip-booted — records that you have already seen the intro animation this session, so it does not replay on every page.

Clearing your browser storage removes both. Nothing on the site breaks if you do.

We keep these to the minimum a working site needs.

• Map on the contact page — the location map is embedded from OpenStreetMap. Loading that page requests a map tile from them, which necessarily reveals your IP address to OpenStreetMap. Nothing else about you is sent, and the rest of the site loads no third-party content at all.
• Hosting — the site is served from a hosting provider whose infrastructure logs standard server request data.
• Delivery partners — we pass your name, delivery address and phone number to a courier so they can deliver your order. That is the only routine sharing of your details we do.
• Payment — payments are handled by a payment provider. We see that a payment succeeded; we never see or store your full card details.

We will disclose information where the law requires it, and not otherwise.

• Quote requests that do not become orders — up to 12 months, in case you come back to the same project.
• Order records and invoices — retained as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Uploaded model files — kept while the job is live and for a reasonable period afterwards so reprints and revisions are possible without you re-sending anything. Ask us to delete them sooner and we will.
• Newsletter subscription — until you unsubscribe.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data of yours we hold, and what we have done with it;
• correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete data we no longer need for the purpose you gave it for;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.

Write to service@inspiredprinting.in with the subject "Data request". We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to order files and customer records is limited to the people in the lab who need it to do the work.

No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say so than claim otherwise. If you believe your data has been compromised, or you have found a vulnerability in this site, please tell us at service@inspiredprinting.in and we will take it seriously.

This site is intended for people placing orders on their own behalf or on behalf of an organisation. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If a school or parent is ordering for a student project, the account and the correspondence should be an adult's.

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing customers will also be sent by email.
